I lost my SewMojo for a minute but I’m Back! Last year Cynthia Rowley’s pattern was all the rage. It had mixed reviews and most folks said it had too much ease. Given that I’m too old to wear a mini – like I was doing too much. Oh and me in a short romper would make me feel like I was in elementary school. Not Haute 🙂
I decided to turn this into a grown woman romper. Yep….this is me all day long.
This was a very easy modification. I added width to the hip line and used a pair of RTW pants for draft the legs so that I had the right amount of flow. I was going for a dressy casual look. I’m wearing a pair of flip flops but you could easily wear with a pair of dressy sandals.
Oh hell yeah I added pockets. Pockets give me life and gives me something to do with my hands when I’m taking pics. The fabric was a gift from my Glam Fairies. I have a whole bolt of this lovely rayon so don’t be surprised if it shows up again.
What’s up with the weather? Who knows, yesterday it in the mid 70’s and today it cloudy and overcast. So what do you do? You go ahead and take the dang pics. We went out for BBQ in Hercules…I was very disappointed so I won’t mention where we went. But on the way back we stopped at the San Pablo Dam Reservoir. It was beautiful and even managed to capture a hawk in the shot.
This post will be short and sweet. I have a lot of sewing to do and I promise I’ll be back with more for your viewing pleasure.
Thanks for stopping by.
