I featured this gorgeous fabric a couple of hauls ago. I loved it sooooo much – just couldn’t figure out what to do with it. It’s the second one from the bottom. Unfortunately, I don’t think they have any more but here are some alternatives.
I decided that I would make a basic dress. No frills – pockets – loop da loops or doo dads. But before I show you the dress – you need to see my fancy skills. I amaze myself sometimes. I wanted to give the twin needle a go because my dress needed the perfect hem. It took me forever to thread the damn thing but once I was done it was on and crackin.
Behold…. the most perfect double hem you’ve ever seen in your life. Make sure you zoom in so you can see it. 🙂 Guess I should get around to showing you the dress….well okay. Here she is in all her glory and Yassssss Honey – that’s a peek of my new studio. I cannot wait to show you the entire room….it’s divine.
I need to take pics and do a pattern review but it’s too cold. I haven’t seen the sun in 2.5 weeks. What I will say is that this was the easiest thing I’ve made in a long time. It’s just two pieces a bit of seam binding around the arms and that’s it.
Thanks for stopping by.
