The weather has gone from raining non-stop to down right freezing. Well – not exactly freezing but I think that 30 degrees is cold for California.
I wanted something warm, cozy and casual to wear around the house and for running errands. I received 25 yards of fabric as a gift. I know…who does that? I can’t reveal the person or the source or you’ll get there and grab it all up.. so I’m not talking. I have so much that I’m going to see how many different outfits I can make before I run out.
I don’t know what to make of the fabric it is a two-way stretch with a bit of spandex. It’s printed on one side and white on the other. It very sturdy and sews like a breeze and most importantly it’s very comfortable to wear. As a legging it’s perfect – you can’t see through it and it holds all the bits and pieces. No giggle or wiggle everybody is exactly where they are supposed to be.
I made my leggings from a pair I already had. I just placed them on top of the fabric, traced the pattern, cut, sewed and “viola”. I even managed to match the designs…check out my legs. Yep #shedidthat
I’ll add a quick tutorial to show you how I made the leggings.
For the top I used click here: Vogue V8952. The fabric is a waffle print stretch knit that I purchased on the discount isle for next to nothing click here: Fabric Outlet in SF and it is so comfy you could sleep in it. I did not modify the pattern at all and it was very to make. I added my favorite jean jacket and a pair of suede boots I found in the back of my closet to complete the look.
Notice how nice the pictures are? I splurged on a new camera. I am the proud owner of a Nikon D3200 and we are in love.
Wishing everyone a Happy and Prosperous New Year!
Thanks for stopping by.
