Girl’s Just Wanna Have Fun

Hey Everybody….How you doing?  I’ve been MIA because I’ve been sewing for everyone else.  I enjoy sewing for people that hold a special place in my heart.  But as always… I come back strong after a lil hiatus. This frock right here Vogue V1422 was my first attempt at a semi couture pattern.  I was so proud of my work and I even blogged about it:  Remember Venita’s Graduation Day.?

Well I finally got around to putting this baby on and taking her for a spin.  It was sooooooo much fun – I mean – seriously when do you get to wear gloves…at the park…in the day time…in 101 degree heat….in Las Vegas. 🙂

Well I had a blast and will definitely make this dress again…probably a fun print.  Because I wasn’t feeling overly confident about my skills – I picked basic black bridal sateen.  And….because it was so plain….I blinged her out with rhinestones.  All of the where to find stuff is on the Venita’s Graduation Day post.  Well except for the shoes – it took months to find the right shoe and it needed to be blinged out.  I found exactly what I needed from DSW.  They are on sale…so you know what to do.

Yikes…from the looks of the dress from the back “SHE” needs put in some work at the gym.  🙂  Those back rolls tho….:-)

Gotta Go…Gotta Sew.

Thanks for stopping by.
