It’s a Wrap – No Capes Allowed!

That’s a quote from Edna Mode 🙂  She is my alter ego.  The weather is definitely cooler and there is a California chill in the air.  This is the time of year when we get to pull out the big guns.  Don’t judge if you’re from the mid-west or east coast.  I know you’re probably thinking….you folks don’t know what cold is.

The wrap is McCalls M6209.  I’ve made this wrap over a dozen times…easy peasy.  I used a plaid fleece that I picked up on-sale of course at JoAnn’s.  The pants are Vogue 9032 which I lined for coverage purposes…don’t want those bits showing.  🙂

Gotta Go….Gotta Sew

Thanks for Stopping by!

  1. Your gorgeous cape is inspiring me to make one! Found your blog through your interview on Faye’s Sewing Blog.

    1. Thanks Stephanie. Give it a go – it’s a very easy sew and I promise you’ll love it. Venita

  2. Your coat is magnificent as is the color but this wrap intrigues me as I will be having a shoulder replacement on 1/8 and that arm will be immobilized. January is dicey on the east coast, to say the least. Great job! I am glad I found your blog.

    1. Thanks Nancy. The wrap is very easy to do and the pattern has 3 different views to select from. It gets cold where you are so I would not recommend fleece. I made one for my daughter last year and used a nice wool and it keeps very warm. Good luck with your surgery and is a pleasure to meet you as well.
