Pattern Review: Burda 6988 Repeat

Hey Everyone – long time no talk.  I’m back again with my favorite pattern of all time and a wig to boot.  Um well about the wig..it’s a social experiment and I hope to fill you in on my investigative reporting within a few weeks.

This time I changed things up a tiny bit and it made a huge difference in the overall fit.

Pattern:  Burda 6988  I made view A again.  Like I said in my previous post – I’m going to make several more just because I can.

Fabric Used:  Burn-out Knit from Cali-Fabrics

Pattern Sizing:  I cut size 14

Did it look like the pattern once you were done sewing? Absolutely

Was the pattern easy to follow?  Hell Yeah

What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?  Like is not the word…Love is more appropriate.

Would you sew it again?  Come on now….you know the answer to that question.  But I performed a slight modification this time around.  The dress consists of two pieces cut on the fold of the fabric. I decided to cut the front on fold and the back in two piece.  Why you ask????  Well because I was running out of fabric and I also because I wanted a seam down the back of the dress.  Best thing ever….now the dress fits even better than before and the seam down the back is rather sexy.  🙂

Would you recommend it to others?  Duh
