This is a really – really – really – really – late post. See what had happened was….. ☹ Blah Blah Blah
Well, I overwhelmed my dayum self so much that I developed a case of “sewist doing to much itis”. That’s when you want to be great, but in trying to be great, you keep adding shit to a simple project. Then it becomes too much shit, so you throw it in a corner and say “ugh….I’ll get to it later”.
I wanted red fabric, not just any red but cherry red. Next, I wanted nice fabric with a bit of stretch. Then I wanted to add do-dad pom poms and sparkly shit everywhere. Sigh….if only I just sat my butt down and sewed.
Well I decided not the add the do-dad pom poms but the sparkly shit won.
I added it to the sleeves, pocket, pant legs. Instead of using piping like the pattern called for – I used sparkly shit for the collar and facing trim.
That was the beginning of the end ☹
I became frustrated because the collar and trim would not line up the way I wanted it to. I fussed and cussed, ripped it out and cussed, put it back in and cussed.
Well…..I’m sure you can see why this got tossed aside.
On the bright side the pants came out lovely. Yes, there is the obligatory seat adjustment as always.
Now here we are almost a year later and I’m just posting the pics. Just so happens to be my birthday and I’m celebrating in San Jose Del Cabo, Mexico. That’s why you see ocean and sand. 🙂
