Hello Hello Hello
I’ve missed you all but I am so happy that I am finally getting the hang of managing multiple sewing projects. In the middle of my mad sewing marathon 🙂 my mother came to visit. As always, I asked her if she wanted me to make her something. I know what the answer is but I ask anyway. She went thru my pattern stash and selected New Look 6301. So off to JoAnn’s we go – I had coupons (of course) and we walked out with fabric for her dress and few other items for me.
The pattern was super easy and sews like a breeze. I am in awe of how far I’ve come in terms of details and technique. The only way to get better is to keep sewing and that is exactly what I intend to do. So without further adieu – let me dazzle you with the dress details.

And now time for the pièce de résistance – My Mother 🙂
As you can tell… she is very pleased with her new dress and I am pleased that she likes it. I made View A for her as she wanted the flared bottom. You must give this pattern a try. It’s easy and you’ll feel like the best sewist in the world when you’re done. I’m going to make one for myself and it will be a curve hugging maxi and I’ll probably add a split. 🙂
I have another contract work assignment coming up next week that will certainly eat into my beloved sewing. So I am on a mission to work on and “complete” as many projects as possible so that you won’t miss me too much. Happy Wednesday and thanks for stopping by.
Gotta Go….Gotta Sew!
